The writers’ strike is finally over

The Writers Strike

he Writers Guild of America votes to end a three-month strike. “The strike is over. Our membership has voted, and writers can go back to work,” said Patric Verrone, president of the WGA’s West chapter. TV show plot is just getting worse recently after the strikes, but I hope it will be better after the writers voted to end this "saga".

According to an NPR report filed on February 12, 2008, the strike cost the economy of Los Angeles an estimated $1.5 billion.  In contrast, the previous strike in 1988 lasted 21 weeks and 6 days, costing the American entertainment industry an estimated $500 million.
